What Not To Bring
You must declare for inspection all food, plant material and animal products on arrival in Australia to ensure they are free of pests and diseases. Before you leave home, it is vital to check the Australian Customs Service website and the Australian Quarantine and Inspection Service website for details about customs and quarantine laws in Australia. If you are unsure, declare the goods anyway. Due to recent international events, customs in Australia will be extremely vigilant.
Do not carry illicit drugs either into or out of Australia. Penalties for drug offences in Australia and the region are severe and could result in a jail term.
